Together Lifeways has over 100 years of experience in helping students over addiction.
Paula is a Rapid City native. She has been the Executive Director since Lifeways Founding in 2003. She has worked in the field of substance abuse prevention and addiction for over 30 years. Her lifelong purpose and passion is to help youth be drug free, discover their strengths and talents in order to achieve their dreams.
Paula Long Fox is the Lifeways Counselor at West Middle School. Paula has been working with Lifeways since 2013. Mrs. Long Fox has two Masters Degrees and 32 years’ experience in Counseling Rapid City’s youth. She believes Drug and Alcohol Prevention begins with healthy relationships and activities.
Michele Brink-Gluhosky is the Lifeways Counselor at North Middle School. She has served in that capacity since October 2013. She is a Certified Addiction Counselor (CCDC II) with a BS in Applied Management with an Emphasis on Human Services and an AS in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies. Michele is a native of Rapid City and after a 10 year absence, returned with her husband to raise their two children, who are now teens.
Danielle Meyer is the Lifeways Counselor at Custer Junior and Senior High School. She has been working for Lifeways since 2010 and she loves it! She enjoys working in the schools and feels it is an honor to work with so many amazing youth.
Kelsey Hansen is currently one of the Lifeways Counselors at Central High School. She has passionately worked for Lifeways since 2010. She has her Master’s degree in Addiction Studies, is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Certified Trauma Practitioner.
Michelle Ames graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Chadron State College in 2002 with a Field Endorsement in Physical Education and Health. It has always been Michelle’s passion to pursue her education further in obtaining her certification as an Addictions Counselor. Michelle is currently working on her Addictions Counselor certification and will begin her 4th year with Lifeways this upcoming school year.
Kristina Benter has been working with Lifeways since 2015. She is the Lifeways Counselor at Rapid City High School. She is a Licensed Addiction Counselor with 11 years of experience in the field of addiction. Kristina has worked with adults, youth and families in the treatment field and is excited to work with youth in substance abuse prevention.
Matthew Boyce is native to Iowa and has lived in the Rapid City area for 26 years. He has one Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and is working on another in Addiction Counseling, as well as a Doctorate in Psychology. Matthew has had the privilege of working in Stevens High School as the Lifeways Counselor since 2017. He has been working with youth in many capacities for more than 12 years and is excited to continue educating and working with adolescents for many years to come.
Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Chadron State College. She began working with Lifeways in 2018. Rebecca is continuing her education in order to receive her Certified Addiction Counselor certification. Rebecca believes in youth and the potential that they have and believes in empowering them to see it in their own lives.
Bill Clucas is the new Lifeways counselor for East Middle School. Bill has his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and has worked in the field since 2012. He plans to continue his education by obtaining his certification as an Addiction Counselor. Bill is passionate about the work he does with youth and enjoys seeing positive outcomes. He is excited and grateful to be a part of the Lifeways team beginning in 2018.
Audrie began working at Lifeways in August of 2016. She is grateful to have received the opportunity to work for an amazing organization and with an incredible group of counselors committed to helping the youth of Rapid City.
