Lifeways Creating Community Connections
In 2020-2021, Paula Wilkinson Smith, Our Founding Executive Director established a Lifeways Connections Podcast to bring awareness to the complex issues involved with alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, misuse and substance use disorders (the clinical term for addiction.) After her retirement in summer 2021, we paused the podcast production. However, you can still listen to the many wonderful sessions she and our former Lifeways Counselor, Kristina Benter, hosted. We hope to explore podcasting in the future when we have staffing available. Thank you!
We are hoping that you find our podcasts helpful in understanding addiction, how prevention can change lives and learn valuable information you can use in your own life. Join Lifeways as we explore meaningful ways too connect through conversations, shared stories, inspirational actions, and your commitment to our community and our youths health and well being. We’ll take a deep dive into topics that impact our community such as; substance abuse, wellness and prevention, recovery, and spirituality.
Guests include:
Paula Wilkinson Smith, Paula Long Fox, Matt Thrash, Emily Jackson, Rebecca Stucke, Joe Garcia, Therese Rowland and many others as our community works together to increase our understanding of addiction and identify what role every community member can play in breaking the cycle of addiction with courage, compassion and resiliency.
