Paula is a Rapid City native. She has worked in the field of substance abuse prevention and addiction for over 30 years. Her lifelong purpose and passion is to help youth be drug free, discover their strengths and talents in order to achieve their dreams.
Paula Long Fox is the Lifeways Counselor at Stevens High School. Mrs. Long Fox has two Masters Degrees, Addiction Counselor Trainee (ACT) and 32 years’ experience in Counseling Rapid City’s youth. She believes Drug and Alcohol Prevention begins with healthy relationships and activities.
Michele Brink-Gluhosky is the Lifeways Counselor at North Middle School. She has served in that capacity since October 2013. She is a Certified Addiction Counselor (CCDC II) with a BS in Applied Management with an Emphasis on Human Services and an AS in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies. Michele is a native of Rapid City and after a 10 year absence, returned with her husband to raise their two children, who are now teens.
Michelle Mott is a Wyoming native. In 2004, she obtained her Master of Science degree in Counseling. Her passion is helping others achieve their fullest potential. She is actively involved in recovery efforts and volunteers her time sharing her experience, strength and hope. Michelle has worked with Lifeways since 2008. She currently works in the main office providing Clinical Supervision and individual outpatient and trauma counseling services to youth.
Danielle Meyer is the Lifeways Counselor at Custer Junior and Senior High School. She has been working for Lifeways 5 years now and she loves it! She enjoys working in the schools and feels it is an honor to work with so many amazing youth.
Kelsey Hansen is currently one of the Lifeways Counselors at Central High School. She has passionately worked for Lifeways since 2010. She has her Master’s degree in Addiction Studies, is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Certified Trauma Practitioner.
Michelle Ames graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Chadron State College in 2002 with a Field Endorsement in Physical Education and Health. It has always been Michelle’s passion to pursue her education further in obtaining her certification as an Addictions Counselor. Michelle is currently working on her Addictions Counselor certification and will begin her 4th year with Lifeways this upcoming school year.
Kristina Benter is going into her 2nd year of working at Lifeways. She is the Lifeways Counselor at Rapid City High School. She is a Licensed Addiction Counselor with 11 years of experience in the field of addiction. Kristina has worked with adults, youth and families in the treatment field and is excited to work with youth in substance abuse prevention.
Amanda Cordova is the Lifeways Intensive Outpatient Counselor and will be working from the main office. She truly cares about others and believes in empowering youth to strive for a promising future. Amanda is a compassionate, dedicated, and courageous individual. Amanda graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (2015), is currently working on her Addiction Counselor Certification, and has 3 years’ experience in mentoring at risk youth. Amanda is honored to have the support from such an amazing Director, fellow counselors and staff at Lifeways, Inc.
Anthony Raaphorst is the Lifeways Counselor at East Middle School. He has been with Lifeways since October 2016. Anthony has worked with youth in multiples capacities. He has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and was a school counselor for 6 years. He strongly believes in Prevention.
